06/2017 KoMoD Kick-Off

The project KoMoD, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, has been kicked off.

The project KoMoD, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, has been kicked off. The project consortium composed of Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf, Landesbetrieb Straßenbau Nordrhein-Westfalen, SWARCO Traffic Systems GmbH, GEVAS software Systementwicklung und Verkehrsinformatik GmbH ,ave Verkehrs- und Informationstechnik GmbH, Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. (DLR), Siemens Aktiengesellschaft, Vodafone GmbH, Mobileye Germany GmbH, TRW Automotive GmbH, Fachhochschule Potsdam and the Institute for Automotive Engineering of RWTH Aachen University receives a funding of approx. 9 Mio. Euros. In the period from June 2017 to June 2019 a route in the city of Düsseldorf containing Autobahn segments, a tunnel and an urban area with multiple intersections will be equipped with V2X technology. Automated and connected driving functions addressing different use case will be developed and implemented. More infos
